I echo a lot of the reviews on this page - -- words cannot express how wonderful Raquel and her team at Serving Seniors are. When I first contacted Serving Seniors, even though I could tell Raquel was busy, she took the time to provide initial information and schedule a quick follow up call 30 min later. We spoke and I explained the 24 hour care my grandmother was going to require. Raquel was very communicative, honest, open, and let me know all of our options and costs. (Nothing hidden).
When Raquel arrived at my grandmother's condo, she met my Mom. My mother was so grateful and blown away at Raquels professionalism, gentle demenor, friendliness and availability. Raquel sat with my mom for over an hour as they spoke about the situation, and got to know each other.
My grandmother arrived and Serving Seniors took over. My grandmother was hesitant at first to trust anyone (which is understandable as she had been in the hospital for over three months) but withint TWO HOURS she felt like she had found a friend and loved one. My grandmother cried on the phone with me as she explained how happy she was that people could be so kind, caring and helpful.
They have been with my grandmother for about 3 weeks now, and she loves them. She has gotten to know the alternating staff that helps her, and she is so pleased she gushes about them every time she speaks to someone from the family.
Thank you SO much Raquel and Serving Senior team. We are so very grateful to you, and recommend you with "1000" stars if we could.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
PS: I realize I neglected to post what the service provides: they provide essentially all care needs. They help my grandmother with bathing, toileting, sleeping, cooking, cleaning and lite chores. We are so grateful. Thanks!
Raquel at Serving Seniors recently helped us secure caregivers for my mom who was released from acute rehabilitation after a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures. Raquel was responsive and dedicated to finding the right caregiver to assist us with very little notice. The caregivers were very experienced and most of all very caring in all the activities they helped my mom with to transition from the rehabilitation center to home. It was such a relief to find such truly wonderful and dedicated support during a very trying time for my mom as well as our whole family.
Raquel who owns Serving Seniors, is incredibly helpful and understanding. I needed some temporary help for my 97 yr old mother while one of her caretakers was recuperating from a medical procedure. Raquel brought Elaine to my mothers house and went over the meds and instructions for my mom. Elaine then joined our caretaker team and she was fantastic. Elaine was punctual, efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and so kind to my mother. She was a great addition to the team! I would not hesitate to use Serving Seniors Care again. Thank you, Raquel.
Serving Seniors were the first provider of their type to approach the family whilst the patient was still in the hospital. They came quite highly recommended to us by the largest integrated healthcare provider in the country. Its quite refreshing to find healthcare providers that actually CARE for the patients, and are in no great hurry to rush patients through, whilst expecting the most compensation the market will bear. Serving Seniors gives you the most caring and well-trained providers to be found. They are especially adept at working with, and helping Stroke patients through the tough rehab process. A real bonus with Serving Seniors is that their providers provide the needed care, at the most affordable and competitive rates. Very few families have the resources for what their competitors expect, and we see no need to buy a gold-plated Rolls Royce, when reliability, experience, and functionality (apart from simply CARING) is what's needed.
My 83 year old dad wanted to say in his home, so I called a friend who was in the health care business. He couldn't serve the south bay, so he referred me to SSC. I met with Raquel and she clearly explained their services and cost. She placed Marlyn with my dad. Marlyn provided extraordinary service. At first, my dad was resistant and then he began to rely on her. This gave me the freedom and confidence that he was in good care. Marlyn kept a record of his medication and activities. Both Raquel and Marlyn returned phone calls and emails very promptly. Raquel and Marlyn both visited my dad at the hospital before he passed.
